La Crosse Firefighters Local 127 captured the 2008 State Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin Softball Title on August 2nd in Janesville.  We sent 2 teams, many fans and had a great time bringing the trophy back to La Crosse for the first time in 8 years.

Team 2 had a close game in their opener against North Shore 1, lost their 2nd game and then won their last game in pool play to go 1-2 for the weekend.

Team 1 posted a 3-0 pool play record and then defeated Greenfield and Madison 2 on their way to the Saturday night final against defending champs Eau Claire. 

Tied 4-4 in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs, tournament MVP Tom Heilman delivered a base hit up the middle to push home the winning run and seal a 6-0 record and the 2008 championship!
